Haenam-gun Successfully Concludes Beautiful Handwriting Contest at Ttangkkeut Sunrye Literature Museum

View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Hyun] Haenam-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 16th that the 4th Beautiful Handwriting (Calligraphy) Contest at the Ttangkkeut Pilgrimage Literature Museum has successfully concluded.
Held under the theme "Haenam literary figures and their works from the Joseon Dynasty who led the culture and arts of Honam," this contest attracted a total of 138 participants nationwide, including 92 in the general division.
The prestigious Grand Prize winners were Kim Ji-hye (Daejeon) in the general division for "Sijabang (Im Eok-ryeong)" and Choi Ji-yoon (Changwon) in the student division for "Manheung (Yun Seon-do)."
The judging was conducted comprehensively by three professional judges with diverse experience through on-site evaluation, assessing completeness, artistic quality, creativity, and expression techniques, selecting a total of 34 awardees.
The winning works can be viewed at a special exhibition in the planned exhibition hall of the Ttangkkeut Pilgrimage Literature Museum from the 16th of this month until the 31st of next month.

A Haenam-gun official stated, "Despite the situation where schools, academies, and various cultural lectures could not be held due to COVID-19, many works were submitted, demonstrating the power of the contest now in its fourth year," and added, "We appreciate the great interest and will strive even harder to operate a diverse and fair contest."
