Gyeongju City Installs 'COVID-19' Walk-Through Screening Booth at Public Health Center
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] Gyeongju City announced on the 15th that, in response to the resurgence of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) mainly in the metropolitan area, it has installed and started operating a walking-through booth at the public health center separately from the existing screening clinics since the 9th.
The newly operated screening booth is designed to safely and easily collect specimens from patients beyond the wall using fixed latex gloves while completely isolating the test subjects and medical staff with a transparent barrier.
Testing can be conducted without wearing Level D protective suits, providing great relief to medical staff exhausted by the heat, and test subjects can also be tested in a comfortable and cool independent room. Additionally, Gyeongju City boasts that it is expected to have significant economic effects such as saving protective equipment and reducing medical waste.
Earlier, the Gyeongju Public Health Center quickly introduced the drive-through method on February 28 during the initial response phase of COVID-19, receiving great support from citizens.
