Seoul Gangseo-gu, Comprehensive Inspection of Construction Machinery Businesses
Focused Inspection of 23 Construction Equipment Businesses Under CMS Supervision Until the 19th
[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Gangseo-gu, Seoul (Mayor Noh Hyun-song) will conduct a first-half inspection of construction machinery businesses to prevent safety accidents involving construction machinery and establish a sound market order.
The district will organize its own inspection team and carry out focused inspections on a total of 23 construction machinery businesses, including rental, sales, and maintenance businesses, covering 285 units, as well as unregistered operators, until the 19th.
The main inspection items include ▲(Construction machinery rental business) verification of possession of parking lots, etc. ▲(Maintenance business) securing maintenance technicians, compliance of maintenance facilities with standards ▲(Sales business) verification of possession of parking lots, securing warranty deposit certificates or guarantee insurance certificates, etc.
For unregistered operators, inspections will focus on ▲whether privately owned construction machinery is used at construction sites (illegal private business) ▲illegal maintenance in residential areas, forests, roadsides, etc. ▲illegal sales activities.
Additionally, the district will focus on checking whether construction machinery lease contracts are properly written and whether replacement registration items are entered and replacement registration details are indicated in the Construction Machinery Management Information System.
If violations found during inspections are minor, administrative guidance will be given, but serious violations will be dealt with strongly through criminal charges and other measures to eradicate illegal activities.
