'Voice Trot' Sleepy Challenges Trot to Clear Over 100 Million Won Debt
[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Lim Juhyung] Singer Sleepy has thrown his hat into the ring for the MBN variety show 'Voice Trot' to pay off debts exceeding 100 million won.
Sleepy will challenge the trot stage for the first time since his debut on MBN's 'Voice Trot,' which will premiere on July 10.
It is known that Sleepy decided to participate in the show to repay his parents' debts amounting to hundreds of millions of won. Although he has barely earned any profit over the 10 years since his debut, he recently started revenue-generating activities, including establishing a one-person agency.
Sleepy expressed his ambitious goal of succeeding in MBN's 'Voice Trot,' clearing his debts, and using it as a stepping stone to secure a rental home.
Meanwhile, 'Voice Trot' is MBN's 20 billion won project and is the first survival program in Korean broadcasting history where 80 stars compete in a trot contest.
