Gyeongsangdo, Nation's First 'Maritime Safety Security Officer' Established

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Choi Hyun-joo] Gyeongsangnam-do has introduced the nation's first Maritime Safety Security Officers to create a safer Gyeongnam.
On the 12th, Gyeongnam Province announced that it had appointed 56 Maritime Safety Security Officers who will act as maritime safety guardians to prevent the rapidly increasing coastal accidents.
They will conduct safety accident prevention activities in seven coastal cities and counties within the province, including Changwon and Tongyeong.
The province plans to spread a culture of safety in daily life through the officers by promoting life jacket use among anglers and fishing boats, inspecting coastal facilities, patrolling, reporting safety violations via the Safety Report Center, and conducting marine accident prevention campaigns.
