20s Male in Jingwan-dong, Eunpyeong-gu Tests Positive After Contact with Confirmed Case at Jung-gu Central Place
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Eunpyeong-gu (Mayor Kim Mi-kyung) announced that one additional confirmed case of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) occurred on the 11th.
The 41st confirmed case in Eunpyeong (resident of Jingwan-dong, Eunpyeong-gu, male, in his 20s) is presumed to have come into contact with a confirmed case at Central Place in Jung-gu. While under self-quarantine, he visited the Eunpyeong-gu Public Health Center screening clinic on the 10th for testing and was finally confirmed positive around 10 a.m. on the 11th.
The confirmed patient has been transferred to Eunpyeong St. Mary's Hospital, a nationally designated isolation ward, and disinfection of the patient's residence and surrounding areas has been completed.
An epidemiological investigation is currently underway for the newly confirmed case, and additional verified information will be disclosed through the Eunpyeong-gu Office website.
