Seoul COVID-19 Cases Increase by 24 in 8 Hours (Update)

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] As of 6 p.m. on the 11th, the Seoul Metropolitan Government announced that the number of confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in Seoul increased by 24 compared to the count at 10 a.m., 8 hours earlier. The city's cumulative number of confirmed cases rose to 1,072.
According to Seoul City, among the 24 new cases, 16 were related to 'Richway' (cumulative total 77), the largest group. This includes infections derived from the Richway cluster, such as Myeongseong Housing in Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam-gu, the SJ Investment Company call center in Gangseo-gu, and Yesu Vision Holiness Church in Geumcheon-gu.
Additionally, there was 1 case related to the Bucheon Coupang logistics center (cumulative 24), 1 case related to KB Life Insurance (cumulative 13), 1 case related to a sports facility in Yangcheon-gu (cumulative 35), 1 case from overseas contact (cumulative 286), and 4 cases categorized as 'others' (cumulative 307).

Meanwhile, among the new cases disclosed by Seoul's autonomous districts on the day, 19 were confirmed on the same day: 5 in Gwanak-gu, 4 in Yeongdeungpo-gu, 3 in Geumcheon-gu, 3 in Gangseo-gu, and 1 each in Guro-gu, Dobong-gu, Yangcheon-gu, and Eunpyeong-gu.
