Interpark Ticket Search Enhanced... Providing Personalized Search Results
[Asia Economy Reporter Byunghee Park] Interpark is launching a more personalized ticket search service.
Interpark announced that it has upgraded the search service in the ticket reservation category. Interpark users can obtain optimized search results according to their intentions and personal conditions, such as actors, card/discount benefits, and venue locations. The search upgrade was first applied on mobile web and apps and covers all ticket reservation products including performances, exhibitions, events, leisure, and sports.
Interpark explained that through this search upgrade, it implemented spacing correction and synonym recognition, which not only improves the basic quality of search itself but also makes it easier to find performances and tickets by interpreting search intent. Other changes from before are as follows.
First, personalized search was applied. When searching while logged in, personalized customized search results reflecting popular performances and tickets among customers of the same gender and age group, as well as discount benefits of frequently used cards, are prioritized. For example, if there is a performance with discount information matching one of the cards the customer has used for payment, the discounted performance or ticket for the card with the highest payment frequency is automatically searched. Also, popular performances are prioritized for recommendation based on purchase frequency analysis of the same gender and age group.
Second, search including regional names was strengthened through venue address normalization and mapping with nearby landmarks and subway stations. For example, when entering keywords like 'Jamsil Station performance', 'Hyehwa Station play', or 'Gangwon-do swimming pool', users can quickly get the desired results.
Third, searches related to specific periods and anniversaries became possible. All holidays, public holidays, and anniversaries have been databased, allowing users to search with keywords such as 'year-end concert', 'Children’s play in Family Month', 'Parents’ Day dinner show', and 'June exhibition' to check search results matching those schedules.
Fourth, actor appearance date search became available. For performances with casting registered by date, searching by actor name allows users to immediately check performances and dates where the actor is currently appearing or scheduled to appear, and date filtering on the calendar is also possible.
Lastly, search by discount benefits became possible. If individual discount information is provided for each ticket product, users can check performances or ticket reservation products corresponding to discount keywords such as 'student discount', 'office worker discount', 'revisit discount', and 'card company discount'.
