IZ*ONE's Agency: "Second Lawsuit Against Malicious Commenters... Please Do Not Hurt Others Hiding Behind Anonymity"
[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Seul-gi] Idol group IZ*ONE announced that they have filed additional lawsuits against malicious commenters.
On the 11th, Off The Record and Swing Entertainment, the joint management agencies of IZ*ONE, stated, "Together with the law firm Jipyung, we reviewed self-monitored collected data and captured materials reported by fan unions, and on June 8th, we filed additional lawsuits against the authors and distributors of posts containing malicious slander, unverified false information, and defamation against IZ*ONE members, for violating Article 70, Paragraph 2 of the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, etc."
They continued, "The malicious commenters targeted in this lawsuit have continuously engaged in insulting sexual harassment remarks and spreading false information that seriously damages the honor of IZ*ONE members on various social network services (SNS) and online communities."
Furthermore, they warned, "Due to the repeated production of various malicious posts online, not only the IZ*ONE members but also their families have suffered severe mental distress. Therefore, we will not show any leniency or reach any settlements with the accused."
Off The Record and Swing Entertainment added, "We will continue to do our best to protect our artists through ongoing monitoring, and if similar cases recur, we will proceed with additional lawsuits. We earnestly ask that people refrain from actions that hurt others under the cover of anonymity."

This is Off The Record and Swing Entertainment, the joint management agencies of IZ*ONE.
We would like to express our gratitude to all the fans who always cherish and support IZ*ONE.
On May 25th, through our official channels, we announced that we would file a second lawsuit against authors of insulting slander posts and spreaders of false information targeting IZ*ONE members for violations of the Information and Communications Network Act (defamation) and insult charges.
Since then, together with the law firm Jipyung, we reviewed self-monitored collected data and captured materials reported by fan unions, and on June 8th, we filed additional lawsuits against the authors and distributors of posts containing malicious slander, unverified false information, and defamation against IZ*ONE members, for violating Article 70, Paragraph 2 of the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, etc.
