Hoban Group's Namdo Cultural Foundation and Hoban Hotel & Resort announced on the 11th that they signed a business agreement with Disabled at Forest Resort in Jecheon, Chungbuk, for the 'Developmental Disability Artist Creative Support Project.'
About 20 officials attended the signing ceremony, including Yoon Ju-bong, Chairman of Namdo Cultural Foundation, Jang Hae-seok, CEO of Hoban Hotel & Resort, Kim Hyun-il, CEO of Disabled, and six artists.
Disabled is an agency working with 39 artists with developmental disabilities. They discover talented artists with developmental disabilities, help them grow as artists through education, and provide services that enable them to continue their artistic activities.
Hoban Group and Disabled named this project 'Art Workshop R.' It represents the artists' work themes: Rest, Refresh, Redesign, and the creative space 'Resom.'
The Namdo Cultural Foundation supports 30 million won for workshop expenses and other costs for the artists' creative activities. Hoban Hotel & Resort assists with exhibiting works and selling artworks within Resom Resort. Disabled recommends participating artists and handles the production and distribution of art products.
Yoon Ju-bong, Chairman of Namdo Cultural Foundation, said, "Namdo Cultural Foundation continuously carries out activities for the development of culture and arts, such as discovering and supporting young artists, scholarship projects, and exhibitions," adding, "We hope the 'Art Workshop R' project will aid the artists' creative activities."
