Shinan County Council Opens the Final Regular Session of the 8th Term First Half

View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Ki-woon] The Jeonnam Shinan County Council (Chairman Kim Yong-bae) announced on the 11th that it held the 286th 1st regular meeting at 11 a.m. on the 9th in the council plenary hall and began the final legislative activities of the 8th term's first half for a period of 15 days until the 23rd.
The county council will conduct activities of each standing committee and the Special Committee on Budget and Accounts from the 10th to the 22nd, reviewing the 2019 fiscal year settlement approval bill, the supplementary budget expenditure approval bill, and various ordinances, and will conclude the regular meeting schedule with the 3rd plenary session on the 23rd.
Chairman Kim Yong-bae said in his opening remarks, "Based on mutual respect and trust, we will faithfully fulfill the functions of checks and balances to become a more progressive council," and "I sincerely thank all the council members who have actively engaged in legislative activities through close cooperation with the executive branch to improve the quality of life of the residents and regional development."

He added, "The first half of this year has been an unprecedentedly difficult time as COVID-19 has spread worldwide," and urged, "Since everyone is going through a tough time, I hope we will wisely overcome this situation by thoroughly practicing social distancing and personal hygiene management until the risk of infection decreases."
