The assaulted paramedics sustained bruises on various parts of their faces and a split lip, and are receiving hospital treatment.
According to the Fire Services Act, anyone who assaults or threatens firefighters engaged in fire suppression, rescue, or emergency medical activities, thereby obstructing firefighting activities, can face up to 5 years imprisonment or a fine of up to 50 million won.
