Gwangju Dong-gu 'Youth Win-Win Emergency Project' Agreement Ceremony Held
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Im Taek) announced on the 9th that it held the signing ceremony for the ‘2nd Dong-gu Youth Win-Win Soaring Project,’ which is proposed and executed directly by youth.
The ‘Youth Win-Win Soaring Project,’ first implemented last year as part of the Youth Financial Allocation System, a pledge of the 7th local government, has entered its second year this year. This project supports project funds so that young people can directly develop, propose, and execute projects needed by the local community.
The district selected four projects as a result of reviewing the business plans of youth groups (teams) that applied by the 6th of last month.
The selected projects are ▲ Everyday Neighborhood Life ▲ Establishment of a Community-type Space Platform for Local Creators ▲ Gwangju Dong-gu Vegan Life ▲ Blue Road Art Walk, totaling four projects.
In particular, there are high expectations for this project as the young people’s fresh ideas are realized in reality.
Innovative and distinctive projects with the unique colors of youth will be carried out, such as the ‘Episode Market,’ which shares items with personal stories, the ‘Local Creator Community,’ which realizes ideas about space and content, the ‘Vegan Life Note Production,’ which promotes various vegan cultures in the region, and the ‘Blue Road Art Walk Creation,’ which installs artworks by young artists in public spaces.
Dong-gu plans to provide promotional support for the entire project as well as administrative and financial support to ensure definite results for the goals set by the youth.
