All 194 Tested Negative on the First Day of Inspection at Guro-gu Chinese-Korean Shelter
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] On the first day of comprehensive testing at the Chinese-Dongpo Church related to confirmed cases at the Guro-gu Dongpo Shelter, all 194 individuals tested negative.
Guro-gu reported 9 confirmed cases at the Chinese-Dongpo Shelter, with 1 case on the 7th and 8 cases on the 8th. In response, on the afternoon of the 8th, a temporary screening clinic was set up on site to conduct specimen testing.
The testing targets included residents of the shelter who attended worship services at the Chinese-Dongpo Church, church members and related personnel, as well as residents of another shelter and church members within Guro-gu. Although the other shelter and church are not related to the Chinese-Dongpo Shelter, they were included in the testing as a precautionary measure.
By 9 PM on the 8th, 194 people had been tested, and an additional 100 people are expected to be tested on the 9th. Fortunately, all individuals tested on the first day (the 8th) were confirmed negative. Epidemiological investigations confirmed that shelter residents rarely went out and that worship spaces were separate from those of general church members.
