Government to Hold Webinar Sharing Experiences on Epidemiological Investigation and Quarantine Management

[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Dae-yeol] On the 10th at 3 PM, the government will hold the 5th webinar to share quarantine policies related to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) with various countries overseas. In this seminar, under the supervision of the Ministry of Health and Welfare, presentations are scheduled on epidemiological investigation experiences such as contact tracing in local communities, COVID-19 response utilizing science and information communication technology (Ministry of Science and ICT), management of self-quarantined individuals (Ministry of the Interior and Safety), and police cooperation in quarantine (National Police Agency).
Previously, the 1st to 3rd seminars, led by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, covered overall quarantine policies, and the 4th seminar was conducted by each ministry on their respective topics such as immigration and quarantine. The webinar, organized by the International Quarantine Cooperation General Task Force, has been ongoing since last month with participation from 12 government ministries and 6 related organizations including the Korea Health Industry Development Institute.
Simultaneous interpretation in English, Russian, and French is provided, and real-time participation is possible by accessing the website (www.medicalkoreawebinar.or.kr). Over the four previous seminars, a total of more than 2,200 participants from approximately 110 countries have joined cumulatively.
