The event was attended by Jung Yoon-sang, Head of Communications at Lotte Homeshopping, Kim Kwang-gon, Director of the Foundation for Cooperation between Large, Small and Medium Enterprises and Agriculture and Fisheries, and 30 trainees. As a preventive measure against COVID-19 infection, pre-disinfection, temperature checks for attendees, and spaced seating arrangements were implemented.
The finally selected 3rd batch of trainees are women whose careers have been interrupted for at least 6 months up to 5 years due to employment difficulties or marriage. This year, many applicants who lost their jobs due to canceled scheduled interviews or company circumstances amid the COVID-19 pandemic were selected. Going forward, the trainees will receive 4 weeks of training including ▲understanding home shopping job roles and business practices ▲understanding the distribution industry ▲personality education and interview consulting. After completing the training, an employment matching program linked with about 50 Lotte Homeshopping partner companies will be operated. Trainees will also receive separate training support funds.
The Lotte Homeshopping Sangsaeng Iljari program is part of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups’ support project to expand youth employment. It has been jointly operated with the Foundation for Cooperation between Large, Small and Medium Enterprises and Agriculture and Fisheries since 2018. As a result of operating up to the 2nd batch, 64 out of 75 graduates succeeded in employment at Lotte Homeshopping partner companies. From this year, the program will be expanded to twice a year, training a total of about 60 trainees annually. It aims for a 90% employment rate, and the hiring incentive, which was paid 1.5 million KRW per hired person for 3 months to partner companies, will be increased to 1.8 million KRW per month.
