Shinsegae Interfrequently, Brand's First Cafe-Style Store Opening
[Asia Economy Reporter Yujin Cho] Shinsegae International's lifestyle brand JAJU is introducing department store-style VIP services to secure loyal customers.
JAJU announced on the 9th that it opened a standalone store near Sinnonhyeon Station on the 5th of this month, introducing a free caf? exclusively for membership members on the second floor. This is the first time JAJU has opened a caf?-style store.
The caf?-style store is a strategy to secure loyal customers, inspired by the members-only services at department stores' Members Bar. Just as department stores provide beverage services for VIP customers, JAJU plans to offer benefits to JAJU Club members to enhance brand loyalty.
A Shinsegae International official expressed expectations that "the area near Sinnonhyeon Station has a large floating population of people in their 20s to 40s, which will also help in acquiring new members."
The members-only caf?, set up in a bar style in a corner of the store, was named ‘JAJU All Good Caf?’ to signify a space accessible to all members. Customers who have joined the JAJU Club online or offline can use the caf?.
The JAJU Club is a membership service operated since 2016, offering benefits such as discount coupons and point accumulation based on purchase performance after joining.
The free beverage service also varies according to annual purchase amounts: ‘Black’ members receive two drinks per day, ‘Gray’ members one drink per day, and ‘White’ members one drink per week. Upon signing up at the store, customers can immediately enjoy the benefits of ‘White’ membership.
JAJU Club members can choose from premium coffee brand ‘El Cafetal’s’ eco-friendly organic coffee beans and the French tea brand ‘Kusmi Tea,’ which offers healthy teas that aid detox and restful sleep. A professional barista is stationed to provide coffee and tea of the highest quality.
To commemorate the caf? opening, JAJU Sinnonhyeon Store is holding a special event until the 30th, during which White members can receive one drink per day every day. JAJU Club membership can be joined free of charge at JAJU stores nationwide as well as at Shinsegae International’s official online mall, SI Village.
A JAJU marketing representative said, "Many companies are opening caf?-style stores as a customer attraction strategy, but JAJU is the first to open a free caf? exclusively for membership members," adding, "We will enhance brand competitiveness through differentiated services and product development from competitors."

Meanwhile, the new JAJU Sinnonhyeon Store spans two floors and sells products specialized for the commercial district. Given the large number of office workers and people in their 20s and 30s, the store has increased the proportion of interior accessories and fashion products.
