Korea Tourism Organization to Host Online Forum on Night Tourism Activation on the 12th
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] The Korea Tourism Organization will hold the '2020 Night Tourism Forum' at 2 p.m. on the 12th at the Ferrum Hall in Ferrum Tower, Seoul, to revitalize domestic night tourism.
According to the Tourism Organization on the 9th, the theme of this forum is 'Revitalizing the Night Economy through Night Tourism.' Experts in the domestic night tourism sector will be invited to analyze the current status of night tourism at home and abroad, share best practices, and seek innovative measures to create new travel demand. Due to the impact of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), the forum will be conducted as an online video conference with real-time streaming.

In the first part of the forum, presentations will begin with 'Analysis of Night Tourism Status and Revitalization Measures' by Professor Jeong Ran-su, adjunct professor of Tourism at Hanyang University, followed by 'Kakao Taxi Night Big Data Analysis' by Kim Geon-woo, senior manager at Kakao Mobility; 'Best Practices of Cultural Heritage Night Tour Projects' by Park Dong-seok, director of the International Cultural Heritage Strategy Center; and 'Night Market and Alleyway Revitalization Projects' by Lee Sang-min, CEO of KPEM. The second part will include discussions among presenters and a Q&A session with attendees.
