[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Province will conduct water quality inspections this year as well as last year on 221 facilities using groundwater as drinking water among educational and welfare facilities such as daycare centers, schools, and nursing homes in the province.
This year's inspection targets include ▲216 facilities in the province using groundwater as drinking water ▲4 facilities omitted from last year's survey ▲1 newly added facility using groundwater as drinking water this year.
The inspections will be conducted three times in total from the 15th of this month until October 30.

Last year, Gyeonggi Province conducted the first nationwide full water quality survey on 299 educational and welfare facilities in the province using groundwater as drinking water and completed improvements such as supplying tap water or using bottled water for 46 non-compliant facilities.
