Songpa Residents Receive Scholarships to Attend Korea Open Cyber University
Songpa-gu - Korea Open Cyber University, MOU Signed to Support Degree Programs for Residents
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Songpa-gu (Mayor Seongsu Park) provides scholarships to residents who enroll in Korea Open Cyber University.
To this end, Songpa-gu signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Korea Open Cyber University on the 2nd to support educational programs for residents pursuing degrees.
Songpa-gu residents who are newly admitted or transfer into the bachelor's program at Korea Open Cyber University can receive an exemption from the admission fee and a scholarship covering 30% of the tuition.
Korea Open Cyber University, established in March 2001, is the first cyber university in Korea. It engages in academic exchanges and joint development and operation of educational content with leading domestic universities, and has surpassed 2 million cumulative students to date. It offers 14 practice-oriented departments, including Social Welfare, Counseling Psychology, and Real Estate Finance and Asset Management.
The application period for new and transfer students for 2020 is until July 7. Any resident registered in Songpa-gu who meets the university's academic requirements for new or transfer admission can apply.
