Geumcheon-gu Operates 'Companion Animal Industry Expert Training Course' for Career-Interrupted Women... Education Held at Nambu Women's Development Center from June 24 to September 17
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) will operate the "Companion Animal Industry Expert Training Course" together with the Seoul Southern Women's Development Center (Director Kim Hyun-sook) from June 24 to September 17.
The "Companion Animal Industry Expert Training Course" was prepared to support career-interrupted women who wish to find employment or start a business related to companion animals, as demand for related businesses increases in the era of 10 million companion animal owners.
The training will be held every Monday to Thursday from 2 PM to 5 PM at the Seoul Southern Women's Development Center.
The curriculum consists of a total of 150 hours, including ▲Introduction to the Companion Animal Industry ▲Understanding Companion Animals (nutrition, behavior, correction, funeral studies, etc.) ▲Preparation for employment and entrepreneurship in the companion animal industry ▲Field trips and practical training.
In addition to regular classes, trainees will be supported in employment and entrepreneurship through acquiring the Companion Animal Manager certification, practical entrepreneurship education, job counseling, and guidance on preparing employment support documents.
Women who wish to find employment or start a business in the companion animal industry can download the application form from the Seoul Southern Women's Development Center website by June 16, fill it out, and submit it along with the required documents either by visiting the center or via email (nambujob@seoulwomanup.or.kr).
Trainees will be selected through document screening and interviews, with preference given to prospective entrepreneurs in the companion animal industry and residents of Geumcheon-gu. The training fee is 50,000 KRW, which will be fully refunded upon completion.
