Busan City announced that a forest fire occurred on the second ridge of Amisan in Saha-gu on the morning of the 7th amid a continued summer dry weather advisory.
Busan fire and forestry authorities urgently deployed one firefighting helicopter from the National Fire Agency, 110 firefighting personnel, 26 firefighting vehicles, and 100 other pieces of equipment to the scene, extinguishing the fire at around 10:28 a.m.
The dispatched personnel have apprehended Mr. A, who is suspected of setting the fire, and are investigating. There were no casualties due to the forest fire, but it is estimated that 400㎡ of forest was burned. The personnel are continuing cleanup and monitoring operations to prevent rekindling.
