No Additional COVID-19 Cases Detected in Tests Against All EPL Clubs
[Asia Economy Reporter Sung Ki-ho] No additional positive cases were found in the COVID-19 tests conducted on all English Premier League (EPL) clubs ahead of the season restart. This was the sixth round of testing.
On the 6th (local time), the EPL office announced on its website, "All 1,195 players and staff from the 20 clubs tested on the 4th and 5th showed negative results."
As the EPL prepares to resume the 2019-2020 season, which was suspended since mid-March due to COVID-19, it has conducted a total of six rounds of testing on all clubs, starting with the first round on the 17th and 18th of last month. Up to the fifth round, a total of 13 positive cases were confirmed.
