Singapore to Distribute COVID-19 Contact Tracing Devices Nationwide
[Asia Economy Reporter Naju-seok] Singapore plans to launch a wearable device that can identify close contacts of COVID-19 patients. The device will be distributed to all residents of Singapore.
According to foreign media on the 5th, Vivian Balakrishnan, Singapore's Minister for Foreign Affairs, said, "We are developing a device that can be worn regardless of whether you have a smartphone, and it will be launched soon," adding, "Once this portable device is developed, it will be distributed to individuals in Singapore."
The device Singapore is preparing is known to be worn like a necklace or carried in a bag and is rechargeable with a battery.
