To comply with government-recommended guidelines such as 'social distancing in daily life' due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, only a minimal number of DB Insurance and Chungju Seongsim School personnel attended the event held the previous day.
The Chungju Seongsim School Deaf Baseball Team, also famous for the movie "Glove," signed its first sponsorship agreement with DB Insurance in June 2013 and has maintained this relationship for eight years.
DB Insurance has provided a total of 144 million KRW in sponsorship and scholarships over 24 occasions. The funds have been used not only for baseball team activities but also to help students from financially challenged families continue pursuing their dreams and challenges.
In addition to these sponsorship funds, employees of the Chungbuk Business Unit have participated in various support activities such as improving the school environment, providing baseball equipment, and attending a DB Promy professional basketball game in Wonju with Chungju Seongsim School students at the end of the year.
