Seoul City and Community Chest of Korea Donate 152 Thermal Imaging Cameras to Welfare Centers
70 Million Won Raised for COVID-19 Support... Expecting Safety for Facility Users
[Asia Economy Reporter Jo In-kyung] On the 4th, the Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Seoul Community Chest of Korea announced that they will provide 152 thermal imaging cameras to all elderly welfare centers, disability welfare centers, and social welfare centers in the Seoul area.
This event is part of the "Cheer Up! Seoul Sharing Campaign" jointly conducted by the two organizations, funded by approximately 700 million KRW donated through the "Fruit of Love COVID-19 Special Fundraising."
Lee Eun-joo, President of the Seoul Association of Elderly Welfare Centers, said, "During the COVID-19 disaster, the most necessary equipment for managing and maintaining the health of elderly users at welfare centers was thermal imaging cameras. We are grateful that the city and the Seoul Community Chest of Korea have shown interest and provided support together."
