Dongkuk Steel, Completion of 'Cheongsan Regional Children's Center' Built with Rebar and Luxsteel
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] The 'Cheongsan Regional Children's Center' in Okcheon-gun, Chungbuk, sponsored by Dongkuk Steel, was completed on the 3rd.
The Cheongsan Regional Children's Center is a two-story building above ground, with the building's framework constructed using 45 tons of seismic reinforcement steel from Dongkuk Steel, and Luxsteel zinc patterns were used for the roof and exterior materials.
Hong Sun-hee, an architect from Flat Architecture Office who designed the children's center, said, "Dongkuk Steel's seismic reinforcement steel is a reliable material in terms of strength and quality, and Luxsteel can be easily applied to various types of spaces. It also has the advantage of being easy to maintain through the distinct seasonal changes of our country."
Previously, Dongkuk Steel began donating Luxsteel to the Sannaedeul Regional Children's Center in Gangjin, Jeonnam in 2012, and in 2016, donated rebar to the Hope School established for children in Tanzania, Africa.

Since last year, Dongkuk Steel has promised in-kind donations for the construction of public-type regional children's centers promoted by Good Neighbors and SBS Hope TV, making efforts to support the dreams of children in rural fishing and farming areas where academies or cultural facilities are lacking.
