Gyeongbuk Provincial Office of Education Supports Dormitory High School 'Dormitory Supervisor Salaries'... 159 Beneficiaries
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] The Gyeongbuk Provincial Office of Education announced on the 2nd that it will support 160.5 million KRW in personnel expenses for dormitory supervisors to improve the treatment of educational public officials at dormitory-type high schools.
Educational public officials are classified as regular workers and non-working during vacations depending on their work type. Educational public official dormitory supervisors are non-working during vacations and have designated working days according to the school schedule.
Due to the delay in school reopening caused by the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), as part of safety measures for non-working personnel during vacations, 159 educational public official dormitory supervisors working at dormitory-operated high schools in the province have been reporting to work normally since March 19.
This measure by the Provincial Office of Education is a consideration for high schools that have had difficulties securing funds to cover dormitory supervisors' personnel expenses, based on the principle of parental beneficiary burden even during work related to COVID-19.
