View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heeyoon] Barogo, a last-mile logistics startup, announced on the 2nd that it will launch an urban hub logistics business utilizing idle spaces within its branches (hubs).
The first partner is Nowpick, a 24-hour instant delivery online mall. Nowpick's warehouse-style convenience store will be set up in the idle space within Barogo's hub, and Barogo riders will handle the delivery orders from Nowpick.
Since the hub, which serves as a rest and maintenance space for riders, will also become the product pickup point, delivery times are expected to be shortened. Barogo plans to expand the service starting from Gangnam, an area densely populated with single-person households and office workers. The main delivery items include home meal replacements (HMR), lunch boxes, triangular kimbap, ramen, and daily necessities.

A Barogo representative said, "This business utilizing idle space within the hub is expected to have a positive impact on improving rider welfare," adding, "Based on our nationwide logistics infrastructure of over 800 locations, if we collaborate with various companies, final-mile delivery of fresh food products, which are difficult to deliver, will also become possible."
