SK C&C Supports IT Education for Middle-Aged and Career-Interrupted Women in Gyeonggi-do
Online Program to Run for 8 Weeks Starting July 1
[Asia Economy Reporter Jin-gyu Lee] SK C&C announced on the 2nd that it is recruiting students for the IT education program "Digital Dream Academy," targeting middle-aged retirees and career-interrupted women residing in Gyeonggi-do.
The Digital Dream Academy is an IT education program in Gyeonggi-do sponsored by SK C&C and operated by Gyeonggi-do, with all tuition fees fully covered. It was established with the purpose of serving as a stepping stone for digital employment for middle-aged retirees and career-interrupted women in the province.
The recruitment targets are retirees aged 50 and above and career-interrupted women within Gyeonggi-do. Anyone can apply regardless of educational background or career experience. The announcement of successful applicants for the document screening will be on the 25th, and only those who pass the document screening will be interviewed, with the final successful candidates announced on the 29th.
The academy will be conducted online for 8 weeks starting from July 1st. Students will take video lectures four times a week for three hours each session over 8 weeks, along with studying 458 VOD videos totaling 70 hours.

The curriculum is designed to assist employment, including education on data-driven marketing trends and theories, as well as advertising planning and practice tailored to the characteristics of domestic and international social networking services (SNS). IT devices such as laptops and headsets for online education will also be lent. Han Yoon-jae, head of CPR at SK C&C, said, "This is a social value creation activity supporting the creation of quality ICT jobs through digital education," adding, "We will strive to establish this as a practical support program that helps students find employment through digital competency enhancement based on systematic education."
