"Strengthening Public Childcare" ... Daegu City Establishes Accounting System for Daycare Centers
System Demonstration Briefing at City Hall Annex on the 1st at 2 PM
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] Daegu City announced on the 1st that it will establish and operate an accounting system for daycare centers based on IT technology and advanced financial services.
In this regard, at 2 p.m. on the same day, a demonstration briefing session for the 'Daycare Center Accounting System' will be held at the Daegu City Hall Annex Auditorium. By using this system, daycare center operators can handle accounting tasks related to income and expenditure financial transactions through mobile devices.
According to Daegu City, the system enhances user convenience, reduces accounting outsourcing costs, and provides various benefits such as refunding accumulated funds for card and bankbook usage, thereby strengthening childcare capabilities and improving financial conditions.
To introduce the system, Daegu City, DGB Daegu Bank, and the Daegu Daycare Center Association joined forces and signed a business agreement at the end of February. The main contents include ▲ development and operation of the accounting system ▲ issuance and operation of dedicated cards and bankbooks for daycare center subsidies (operating expenses) ▲ provision of accounting education ▲ operation of a counseling call center, among others.
Since the end of June last year, Daegu City has been preparing the 'Daegu-type Daycare Center Accounting System Establishment and Operation' project while seeking various support measures for local daycare centers experiencing financial difficulties in operation. Among commercial banks such as Kookmin, IBK, Shinhan, and Hana Bank that expressed their willingness to participate, DGB Daegu Bank was finally selected as the project operator on January 21.
Along with selecting the project operator for the accounting system establishment and operation, Daegu City has held several consultations and briefing sessions with the Daegu Metropolitan City Daycare Center Association from the early stages of the project to gather diverse opinions.
