A 70s COVID-19 Patient Dies in Daegu... Death Toll Rises to 181
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] A man in his 70s who was hospitalized at a psychiatric hospital in Daegu, where a cluster infection of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) occurred, has died.
According to Daegu City on the 30th, a 74-year-old man receiving treatment at Daegu Medical Center died at 9:28 p.m. the previous night, raising the local COVID-19 death toll to 181.
The man, who suffered from schizophrenia and diabetes and was hospitalized at the 2nd Miju Hospital in Dalseong-gun, Daegu, was confirmed to be infected with COVID-19 (the 9771st case) during a full inspection of the psychiatric hospital on March 30 and was transferred to the National Masan Hospital. Afterwards, he was moved to Kyungpook National University Hospital on April 2 and then to Daegu Medical Center on the 4th of this month, where he received treatment.
