KB Kookmin Card Operates Internal Contest Program to Discover Digital New Business Opportunities
Purpose of discovering new revenue business ideas
Human and material support such as personnel and systems for related prototype development
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] KB Kookmin Card announced on the 30th that it will operate an in-house idea contest program called 'KB Innovation Challenge.'
Launched for the first time last year, this program aims to discover new product ideas or new revenue business ideas related to digital and mobile, and to prepare the optimal solutions to launch them in the market.
In the first program last year, out of 42 proposed ideas, two ideas including the 'Subscription Payment Mobile Platform' and the 'Electric Vehicle Dedicated Platform' were finally selected through the evaluation committee, and platform development work is currently underway.
Teams that participate in this program and propose ideas are guaranteed a certain amount of research time during working hours for about two months to concretize their ideas and prepare the final report, and research activity expenses are provided.
In addition, for excellent ideas, various human and material supports such as personnel, systems, budgets, and workspaces for prototype development will be provided in the second half of the year. Completed prototypes and new revenue business models will be introduced through a briefing session for employees in the fourth quarter.
