Kim Heungjong Appointed as New President of the Korea Institute for International Economic Policy

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] Kim Heungjong, a senior research fellow at KIEP, has been appointed as the new president of the Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (KIEP).
The National Research Council for Economics, Humanities and Social Sciences held a board meeting on the 29th and appointed Kim Heungjong as the 11th president of KIEP.
President Kim is an expert in international trade, including Free Trade Agreements (FTA). He graduated from the Department of Economics at Seoul National University and earned his Ph.D. from the same university's graduate school.

He has served as an advisory member for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade on the Korea-European Union (EU) FTA, vice president of the Korean International Economic Association and the Korean EU Studies Association, vice president of the Korean International Trade Association, and adjunct professor at Ewha Womans University Graduate School of International Studies and Sogang University Graduate School of Technology Management.
