Jangheung-gun Successfully Completes Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission's 'Mobile Sinmungo' Event

View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Seo Young-seo] Jangheung-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that the "Mobile Ombudsman" of the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission, which had been temporarily postponed to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), was successfully held on the 27th in the large conference room on the 2nd floor of the county office.
The "Mobile Ombudsman" is a system where 15 counseling teams, composed of professional investigators from the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission and experts from related organizations, resolve residents' grievances or inconveniences on-site.
On that day, the Mobile Ombudsman operated from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., covering various fields such as administration, housing and construction, road traffic, and welfare. The number of consultations was about 20 cases, and despite concerns about COVID-19, it proceeded calmly while adhering to social distancing guidelines in daily life.
Civil petitioners who came for consultations said, "We wore masks to prevent COVID-19 and received consultations, but there was no problem in communication," and "We are grateful that the counseling investigators actively provided consultations to resolve grievances and difficulties."

A Jangheung-gun official said, "This Mobile Ombudsman of the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission was a good opportunity to resolve the grievances of local residents," and added, "We will also actively strive at the county level to resolve civil complaints of residents in the future."
