View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] On the 27th, Jangheung-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that about 40 people, including Jangheung-gun employees, Jangheung Elementary School faculty, Jangheung Police Station, Model Drivers Association, and Green Mothers' Association members, participated in a 'Safety Culture Campaign' to improve traffic safety awareness in the school zone of Jangheung Elementary School.
This campaign was organized to improve drivers' safety awareness through promotion such as safely crossing crosswalks, obeying vehicle signals and stop lines, driving slowly in school zones, and not parking or stopping, in order to prevent traffic accidents for students starting their first day of school on the 27th amid the aftermath of COVID-19.
The participants pledged to actively engage in children's traffic safety, urged drivers to drive safely within the school zone, and carried out the 'Seogoyo' (Stop, Look, and Cross) campaign for pedestrians and students.

Jung Jong-soon, the county governor who participated in the campaign, said, "Seeing the students attend school healthily brings back memories," and added, "Although the situation has changed a lot due to COVID-19, we will actively support creating a safe educational environment so that students can focus on their classes without wavering."
