View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Seongdong-gu (Mayor Jeong Won-oh) Admission and Academic Counseling Center has been operating one-on-one admission consulting in both face-to-face and non-face-to-face formats simultaneously since the 21st, in response to the implementation of 'social distancing in daily life' and the reopening of schools.
Since April, the district has been conducting one-on-one online non-face-to-face admission consulting due to COVID-19. With substantial counseling and information such as middle and high school admissions and college admission self-introduction letter consulting, students and parents have responded positively as they could conveniently receive counseling without visiting in person.
With the full reopening of schools starting with 3rd-year high school students on the 20th, the Seongdong Admission and Academic Counseling Center has also started one-on-one face-to-face admission consulting with the same content as the ongoing online non-face-to-face consulting program.
In addition to the content conducted in the existing online consulting, 'one-on-one middle and high school student learning and career diagnostic consulting' has been added.
The 'one-on-one middle and high school student learning and career diagnostic consulting' consists of two sessions: the first session involves the student visiting the center to take diagnostic tests, and the second session is a 'test explanation' attended by both parents and students.
It provides customized diagnostics that allow students to set the first step of personalized admission and career strategies by reviewing learning strategies according to personality types, exploring careers, related academic departments, and suggesting individual resume management strategy plans.
An official from the district stated, "When conducting one-on-one face-to-face consulting, we strictly adhere to the 'social distancing in daily life' guidelines," adding, "We thoroughly check for fever and mask-wearing, record and manage user information, and maintain a distance of more than 1 meter between users inside the counseling room to ensure compliance with quarantine rules."
Jeong Won-oh, Mayor of Seongdong-gu, said, "We will strive to provide prompt countermeasures to students and parents who are psychologically shrinking and anxious due to COVID-19 regarding the changing admission system and schedule."
