Ulsan Breaks Blocked Export Routes Through Virtual Marketing
Ulsan City Holds Export Consultations for Local Auto Parts with Chinese Automobile Company
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Ulsan City has embarked on developing overseas sales channels to support the automotive parts industry, which has been contracted due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
The city announced on the 26th that, in collaboration with KOTRA and the Ulsan Economic Promotion Agency, it will hold an online export consultation meeting for automotive parts in Changchun, China, until the 29th.
The consultation meeting will be attended by nine companies, including Bukuk Industry and Linno Aluminum, local automotive parts companies, along with first and second-tier partners under the First Automobile Group located in Changchun, China.
The China First Automobile Group is recognized as the first complete vehicle manufacturer in China and is considered one of the top three automotive companies in China alongside Shanghai Automotive and Dongfeng Motor. It operates joint ventures with Volkswagen, Toyota, and subsidiaries such as Jiefang Trucks, Hongqi Passenger Cars, and Benteng Passenger Cars, producing and selling 3.4 million vehicles annually.
Prior to this consultation meeting, a video conference between the mayors of the two cities is also scheduled. Through mutual exchange and cooperation between the two cities, this online export consultation meeting is expected to establish itself as a new form of cyber export marketing.
The video consultations will take place from the 25th to the 29th, with sessions held at the Ulsan City Hall Citizen Hall on the 25th and 26th, and from the 27th onward at the Ulsan KOTRA Support Group's cyber consultation room.
For the convenience of companies, video consultations with Chinese participating companies can also be conducted at each business site. Participating companies will be supported with consultation booths and interpreters to enable online consultations with local partners for export discussions.
