US Ambassador to Korea Harry Harris Visits Imjingak US Military Memorial to Honor Fallen Soldiers
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] Harry Harris, the U.S. Ambassador to South Korea, visited Imjingak in Paju, Gyeonggi Province, where the Korean War U.S. military memorial stands, to pay tribute to the fallen soldiers.
On the 25th, Ambassador Harris wrote on Twitter, "Today, on U.S. Memorial Day, we honor all those who sacrificed to protect America," adding, "Last week, I paid respects at the memorial for Korean War U.S. veterans at Imjingak in Paju and also visited the memorials for the 2nd Infantry Division, the 187th Airborne Regimental Combat Team, and U.S. service members of Guam and Japanese descent who served."
