Gangwon Province announced that at 1:19 a.m. on the same day, patient A (89), the 7th confirmed case in Cheorwon, who was hospitalized and receiving treatment at Gangwon National University Hospital, passed away. The cause of death was reported as multiple organ failure due to COVID-19.
Patient A was diagnosed with COVID-19 on the 7th of last month and was transferred to Gangwon National University Hospital for treatment. It was confirmed that he tested positive after coming into contact with a female caregiver in her 60s who was confirmed positive after visiting a public bathhouse in Cheorwon frequented by confirmed cases from Uijeongbu St. Mary's Hospital.
