CJ Mall Launches 'Scratch Week' for Value-Conscious Customers
From Today Until the 29th, Five Days
'Fixed' on the Last Week of Every Month
[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] CJ ENM O Shopping Division announced on the 25th that its online shopping mall CJ Mall will hold a five-day event called ‘Scratch Week’ until the 29th, offering discounted sales of refurbished products (refurbished items) such as unopened returns. Considering the popularity of refurbished products, the event will be held every last week of the month going forward.
Refurbished products refer to new items that were returned unopened due to a simple change of mind after purchase or products that have minor defects from the manufacturing process. Since there is almost no difference in performance or appearance compared to new products, they are popular among consumers who prioritize practicality. In addition to refurbished home appliances, the event also features ‘Clearance Sale’ items to clear out inventory and off-season special-priced products such as heated mats, offering a wide range of choices. Customers who purchase over 50,000 won will receive 5,000 won in reward points.
Representative products include Balmuda’s toaster and fan, well-known for lifestyle and kitchen appliances. Balmuda’s products are relatively high-priced in their category but have consistently been loved for their differentiated performance and sleek design. ‘The Toaster,’ offered at 199,000 won, which is 33% lower than the regular price, is Balmuda’s signature product featuring a steam function. It has five modes that control temperature according to the type of bread, allowing various cooking options depending on the food. The ‘GreenFan S Fan’ is offered at 369,000 won, a 26% discount from the regular price. It is a steady seller loved for its minimal design and low noise. When used with separately sold batteries and docks, it can also be used wirelessly.
Laptops, essential for online classes and remote work, are also available as refurbished products. The ‘LG Gram 17-inch,’ sold at a 13% discount, features a large 17-inch screen and a spacious 72Wh battery. It is equipped with an Intel i7-8565U processor, 16GB memory, and a 512GB SSD. Among kitchen appliances, the ‘Smart Mixer/Blender’ from NUC Electronics stands out. This product, with 1300 watts and a 3000cc capacity, offers 12-speed settings and six recipe modes, and includes a smart automatic control function that stops operation automatically when ingredients are optimally processed.
