Gwangju Dong-gu, Dongmyeong-dong New Deal Project University Student Idea Contest
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Im Taek) announced on the 24th that it will hold the ‘Urban Regeneration New Deal Project University Student Idea Contest’ to incorporate the diverse imaginations of university students into urban regeneration sites.
The theme of this contest is two pedestrian environment improvement plans within the Dongmyeong-dong Urban Regeneration New Deal Project area: ‘Creating Village Story Road’ and ‘Ssamtzi Park Dong Park.’
Any university student attending a university located in Gwangju Metropolitan City who is interested in urban regeneration can apply, and submissions can be made by visit or email.
Dong-gu plans to receive submissions until the 8th of next month, conduct evaluations, and select five works including the winning entries on the 12th of next month.
The total prize money is 2 million KRW, with 1 million KRW for the grand prize, 300,000 KRW each for two excellence awards, and cultural gift certificates worth 200,000 KRW each for two encouragement awards.
