First Initiative This Year to Support Young Women's Social Advancement... Participants Recruitment Until June 12

View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] Daegu City announced on the 24th that it will recruit female mentees in their 20s and 30s to participate in the 'Young Women Mentoring Project' from the 25th until the 12th of next month.
Hosted by Daegu City and organized by the Daegu Women and Family Foundation, this project is being launched for the first time this year to expand opportunities for young women to explore career paths and enter society through networking with active female mentors in the region.
The mentee support fields include five areas: theater, journalism, design, publishing, and economics. The themes for each field are ▲ Time When My Story Becomes a Play (Theater) ▲ Gender Sensitivity Mentoring for Wise Journalism Life (Journalism) ▲ Development of Weird and Wonderful Goods (Design) ▲ One Piece of Writing, One Book (Publishing) ▲ Overseas Export Project of Daegu Social Enterprise Products Utilizing the Global Market (Economics).
The number of recruits is 10 per field, totaling 50. Selected mentees will carry out project activities with female mentors from July to December, and the results will be presented and shared through a final report meeting.
Young women in their 20s and 30s who wish to be mentors or participate in the project can submit an application form via email to the Daegu Women and Family Foundation. Final candidates will be selected through a review by the judging committee. Detailed information is available on the Daegu Women and Family Foundation website.

Kang Myung-sook, Director of the Daegu City Women, Family, and Youth Bureau, stated, "Daegu City continues to implement various projects to support the social advancement of local women," adding, "We hope this project will serve as a platform for intergenerational communication and consensus among women in the region, as well as an opportunity to strengthen their capabilities."
