[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] LG Uplus and the Chungnam Information & Culture Industry Promotion Agency announced on the 24th that they signed a business agreement at the LG Uplus Magok Building in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, to revitalize the Chungnam Immersive Content R&BD Cluster.
The Chungnam Immersive Content R&BD Cluster is a project to establish a cluster by 2024 over an area of 200,000m² around KTX Cheonan-Asan Station, investing a total of 55.6 billion KRW, including 21.6 billion KRW in national funds, 16.5 billion KRW in provincial funds, and 17.5 billion KRW in city and county funds, to foster new industries based on 5G and create convergence services combining local manufacturing and virtual (VR) and augmented reality (AR) technologies.

Through this cooperation, we can take a step closer to creating an immersive content ecosystem by generating synergy with the Chungnam Information & Culture Industry Promotion Agency."
