The Korea International Trade Association (KITA) announced on the 25th that it will switch the 'Bangbanggokgok Export Support Team' project, which had been contracted due to the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19), from offline to online implementation.
The Bangbanggokgok Export Support Team project is a flagship initiative of the association where experts such as consulting specialists and customs brokers visit local domestic companies in export support blind spots to guide export support measures from the association, local governments, and related organizations, and provide customized consulting on site. Last year, it supported 1,178 companies across 55 regions through visits.
However, this year, due to the spread of COVID-19 making direct visits difficult, the project was converted to an online format. It creatively presents export challenges and success stories of domestic companies by major product categories such as agricultural products, consumer goods, and machinery parts, so that companies in similar industries can refer to them. In particular, export field advisory committee members who conducted one-on-one consulting closely with the companies and company representatives appeared directly to vividly share their stories of achieving export success.
Ten regional headquarters including Gyeonggi, Daejeon-Sejong-Chungnam, Busan, and Jeju produced videos comprehensively covering support projects from local governments and related organizations available to companies in their respective regions. The videos can be viewed on the Trade Association and regional headquarters' YouTube channels.
