Dongguk University Gyeongju Campus Selected as 4th Industrial Revolution Innovation University ... Disaster Response Department Newly Established
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] Dongguk University Gyeongju Campus announced on the 22nd that it has been selected as an Innovation Leading University for the 4th Industrial Revolution by the Ministry of Education.
This project supports the formation of convergent curricula by multiple departments and the introduction of innovative educational environments to nurture talent in new industries of the 4th Industrial Revolution.
Accordingly, Gyeongju Campus will receive 2 billion KRW in national funding over two years to establish a new major in Disaster Response Services, which integrates Safety Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Nursing. Through innovation in development of new industry fields and customized education curricula, methods, and environments tailored to local communities, the campus plans to cultivate convergent talents responsible for smart safety and health in social disaster response.
