[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Im Taek) announced on the 22nd that it has signed a business agreement with the Hakdong 4 District Housing Redevelopment Maintenance Project Association to record and preserve the cultural assets of the Hakdong 4 District redevelopment area.
This agreement is being promoted to record and preserve the gradually disappearing cultural resources such as village history due to the promotion of the Hakdong 4 District redevelopment project, and practical mutual cooperation is planned through the production and sharing of various records.
The main contents include ▲ sharing records such as photos and videos produced during the redevelopment maintenance project ▲ cooperation for recording and preserving cultural assets such as producing records about the village history.
Through this agreement, the district plans to continuously promote the work of recording and preserving local resources such as places or figures with historical and cultural preservation value through cooperation between the public and private sectors.
Hakdong 4 District is the location of "Baekhwa Village," which was established with donations from Baekbeom Kim Gu when he visited Gwangju in 1946 after seeing the plight of war refugees, and the houses built at that time still remain today.
