This expo provides tailored information for young people seeking new career paths in rural areas as well as middle-aged individuals dreaming of a second chapter in life. It features diverse and rich content such as a youth entrepreneurship hall, recruitment consulting, regional returning-to-farming support policy promotion halls, and specialty product sales areas.
Gyeongbuk Province and 13 cities and counties, with over 80 returning farmers and responsible officials, are operating both online and offline promotion halls to inform prospective returnees about returning to farming and youth agricultural entrepreneurship support policies, demand-centered education, and various high-income crops, highlighting the unique appeal of Gyeongbuk as the optimal place for returning to farming.
Kim Jong-su, Director of the Agriculture, Livestock, and Distribution Bureau of Gyeongbuk Province, said, "The charm of Gyeongbuk lies in having the largest number of leading farms that can assist with various high-income crops and farming technologies." He added, "During these difficult times due to COVID-19, we will do our best to revitalize the rural economy through population inflow and job creation based on this foundation."
