District Heating Public Corporation Accepts Electricity Bill Deferral Applications from Vulnerable Groups... Installment Payments Accepted Until Year-End
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] Korea District Heating Corporation is accepting applications for the extension of the electricity bill payment period until the 30th of next month to alleviate the household burden of vulnerable groups such as small business owners and basic livelihood security recipients affected by the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
Korea District Heating Corporation supplies district electricity to ▲ Samsong District (Deogyang-gu, Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do) ▲ Sangam 2 District (Mapo-gu, Seoul) ▲ Garak Raemian Park Palace (Songpa-gu, Seoul) ▲ Southeast Distribution Complex (Songpa-gu, Seoul).
The application targets for the extension of the electricity bill payment period are households receiving fixed-rate welfare discounts for residential use, such as basic livelihood security recipients and persons with disabilities within the supply area, as well as small business owners. Applications can be made for electricity bills billed from March to May.
The extended payment period fees will not incur late fees due to non-payment of electricity bills, and equal installment payments are possible from the due date until the end of December.
Support can be applied for by preparing the required application documents and contacting the customer service center or branch manager. Detailed application methods and inquiries can be confirmed through the corporation’s website Customer Happiness Plaza or the customer service center (1688-2488).
