Gyeonggi-do Supports Participating Companies in China Import-Export Expo with 'Video Consultations' and More
[Asia Economy (Uijeongbu) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Province will support 10 local companies participating in the Import and Export Commodities Fair (online) held in China next month.
On the 22nd, Gyeonggi Province announced that it will support 10 export companies in the province to participate in the "China Import and Export Commodities Fair" (Canton Fair), which will be held online next month, to open new export channels for local companies struggling with exports due to COVID-19.
The Canton Fair, celebrating its 127th event this year, is the world's largest comprehensive consumer goods fair attended by global buyers and companies, and will be held from the 15th to the 24th of next month.
The fair organizers changed this year's event to an online exhibition for the first time ever due to COVID-19.
To support the 10 companies participating in this exhibition, the province plans to actively utilize the GBC (Gyeonggi Business Center) located in China to promote and sell health functional foods, baby products, cosmetics, and more online.
Additionally, a video consultation service will be provided so that companies can consult with buyers 24 hours a day, and interpretation support will be offered at the GBC if necessary. Furthermore, systematic follow-up management will be provided after online consultations.
The province plans to complete the establishment of a digital trade consultation room within this month to facilitate non-face-to-face video consultations.
